Case study from November 2016
Sparkasse Krefeld relies on the services of SCHUFA for its risk management. Since the beginning of the cooperation in 1960, information has been obtained with subsequent reports, which have proven to be important for effective risk management.
Thanks to the complete retrieval of automated SCHUFA follow-up reports on existing customers, Sparkasse Krefeld's database remains up-to-date and well maintained, as outdated information in the system is usually also incorrect information. This means that a valid risk assessment of the customer can be carried out at any time without having to make a new inquiry. In the event of risk-relevant subsequent notifications, e.g. about taking out a new consumer loan, the savings bank advisors receive automated notifications so that they can take direct action. Certain negative events are also processed automatically and transferred directly to the OSP database.
Sparkasse Krefeld uses follow-up information for the approval of credit cards, overdraft facilities and personal loans, among other things. Another particular advantage is that all departments have access to the SCHUFA follow-up reports, meaning that both the risk managers and the audit department, for example, always have access to up-to-date, valid customer data.
