As part of a SCHUFA contractual partnership, you can report information to SCHUFA in addition to retrieving information. All participants in the SCHUFA database benefit from your reports.

Compliance with the reporting obligation is an essential part of the contractual partnership. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is also reflected in the SCHUFA General Terms and Conditions of Business, requires corrections to be reported. If the registered data or the underlying facts change, corrections must be reported immediately.

These include

  • Settlements for claims settled prematurely, only after default or - if the claim was part of the insolvency estate - after the residual debt discharge was granted,
  • Changes to personal and address data
  • Death of the person concerned

Only through the interaction of observance of and compliance with the principle of reciprocity, the statutory regulations and the consistent and complete registration of all contractual partners of SCHUFA does the credit assessment of each individual participant in the SCHUFA procedure benefit from a comprehensively maintained database.
