Currently, you can only set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) in the web application at . However, after activating it in the web application, your SCHUFA account is also additionally protected in the SCHUFA app.

This currently applies to use in the SCHUFA app:

• Log in with e-mail and password: If you log in to the SCHUFA app with your access data after activating MFA via app.schufa.de, you will also be prompted to enter your second factor (MFA) in the SCHUFA app in future.

• Login with biometrics: If you have activated biometric login (e.g. FaceID or fingerprint), you can continue to log in as usual. In this case, no separate MFA entry is necessary, as the biometric check of your verified end device already serves as proof of security.

• Administration: Please note that you cannot currently activate or deactivate the MFA function directly in the SCHUFA app.

We have already planned the direct activation and deactivation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) in the SCHUFA app. We ask for a little patience until we can make this function available.
