If you are in the web application at , follow these steps:

• After logging in, open the Profile section and go to "Security and Account."
• Under "Multi-Factor Authentication," click the "Activate Now" button.
• You'll see a QR code that you can scan with your Authenticator app.
• Enter the 6-digit one-time code from the Authenticator app into the input field in your SCHUFA account and click "Confirm Code."
• Your SCHUFA account is now additionally protected with MFA.

In the SCHUFA app, you can set up MFA in the Profile section under "Settings - Multi-Factor Authentication."

MFA only needs to be set up once—regardless of whether you do it in the SCHUFA app or in the web application. After that, you can use the feature on both platforms.

Don't have an authenticator app yet? Then simply download one from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading it, you’ll be guided step by step through the setup process. You’ll connect the Authenticator app to your SCHUFA account by scanning or entering the code. After that, the Authenticator app will generate time-limited one-time codes.
