To be able to identify yourself with eID, you need the 6-digit PIN of your online ID card.

Do you only have a 5-digit transport PIN? Then proceed as follows:

• Install the AusweisApp and open it.
• Select "Change PIN" and "5-digit transport PIN".
• Hold your ID card up to your mobile device for an NFC scan.
• Enter your 5-digit transport PIN.
• Set your new, personal PIN and confirm it by entering it again.
• Wait until "PIN changed successfully" appears.
• You can now start the identification process with eID in the SCHUFA app or the web portal.

Also important:

• The online ID function must be activated.
• If you enter the wrong PIN several times, you will need the 10-digit PUK to unlock the device.
• Sometimes the 6-digit CAN (Card Access Number) is also requested. This is printed on the card.
