The data is deleted automatically on the basis of the specified storage periods.

These are the specified retention periods:

Trouble-free loans:

  • Three years after completion

(credit) inquiries:

  • After twelve months

Trouble-free contracts (current accounts, basic accounts, credit cards):

  • Immediately after notification of termination / cancellation by the company to SCHUFA

Previous addresses:

  • Stored for three years. Previous addresses are important information for identification and can prevent confusion of persons. For this reason, storage can be extended for a further three years in each case if no new previous addresses are added.

Attachment protection accounts, basic accounts:

  • Immediately after the company notifies SCHUFA of the termination/termination

Data from debtor directories:

  • After three years, but earlier if SCHUFA is provided with proof of deletion by the central enforcement court

Consumer/insolvency proceedings:

  • Six months after termination of insolvency proceedings

Residual debt discharge proceedings:

  • Six months after the grant of residual debt discharge

Rejected insolvency proceedings or refusal of residual debt discharge:

  • Mirroring the respective directory in which the information was published (six months or three years to the day)

Information on unfulfilled payment obligations such as undisputed, due and repeatedly reminded or titled claims:

  • Deletion takes place three years to the day after settlement. Claims covered by a discharge of residual debt are deleted six months after the discharge of residual debt is granted
