Consumers are informed that personal data and contract data will be reported to SCHUFA by the company with which they are doing business. You will usually find this information in the company's general terms and conditions.
This is regulated by the GDPR:
- For all banking transactions, the customer is informed by the bank via the SCHUFA notice and the supplementary SCHUFA information that data will be transmitted to SCHUFA and how SCHUFA processes the data.
- If negative information is reported to SCHUFA, the company informs the customer of the impending transfer; this is usually already done in the reminder letters. The customer is also informed if the company asserts claims in court (so-called "titled claims").
SCHUFA's private customer products offer you a range of services at meineschufa.de to obtain information about your personal data stored by SCHUFA and to be notified of inquiries from companies.
