The legally prescribed publication of this information in the debtor register protects business transactions. SCHUFA pursues the same goal and also stores the data from the debtor directories of the central enforcement courts.
SCHUFA only stores the fact of publication in the debtor register and accepts subsequent changes. For example, if a creditor's claim has been settled and the information has been deleted from the debtor register, the information will also be deleted from SCHUFA.
Entries in the debtor register are made by order of the competent bailiff in the following cases:
- If the debtor does not disclose his financial circumstances in the proceedings for the submission of a declaration of assets
- If there is no prospect of enforcement, i.e. if the debtor discloses his financial circumstances but the assets listed in the schedule of assets are not sufficient to ensure that the creditor is fully satisfied
- If the debtor does not provide the bailiff with proof of full satisfaction of the creditor's claim within one month
If you notice that we have not yet updated any information from the debtor directory, you are welcome to contact us directly. We will then carry out the corresponding update after a corresponding check. Alternatively, you can also send us a certificate of deletion. You can obtain this from the central enforcement court responsible for you.
