When comparing the basic score with the new SCHUFA score, you may be in a new score category. This is because the new SCHUFA score replaces the SCHUFA basic score.

The two scores cannot be compared. The base score has served as a cross-sector orientation value for consumers since 2006. The base score was calculated on the basis of the sector-specific SCHUFA scores, with the SCHUFA bank score having the highest weighting at 40 percent, as it is the most frequently requested SCHUFA score. The basic score was not passed on to companies. It has therefore never played a role in a decision-making process. With the new score, consumers see exactly the same score that banks and other companies receive. In addition, the influence of individual criteria in the new score has changed and new criteria have been added. This can also lead to deviations in the score classes.
