The new score takes account of people's changed purchasing behavior. In the old scores, for example, every credit card inquiry via comparison portals automatically triggered a SCHUFA inquiry. This is different in the new score: several inquiries within 28 days are only counted once. The increase in online shopping has also made it necessary to make adjustments to the handling of inquiries. The weighting of inquiries in the scoring has therefore been reduced. Compared to the current bank score, it has been halved from 40 percent to around 20 percent due to new rules for inquiries. This brings the new score closer to the reality of consumers' lives.
