SCHUFA may also already have account data for under-18s. This often happens when young people start an apprenticeship or open an account on their 16th birthday, for example. When these people later come of age, SCHUFA calculates a score for the first time and then sees that the account has already existed for two years.

Important to know: Many youth accounts are offered without an overdraft facility and are therefore not taken into account for the SCHUFA score. Banks do not report pure credit accounts (with the exception of basic or seizure protection accounts) to SCHUFA. Basic and seizure protection accounts are also not taken into account for the score.
