It is no longer enough to “simply” assess the general default risk of new customers. Every decision in customer management aims to maximize customer potential and minimize risks. A risk management system must therefore not only respond quickly to new contract types and underwriting strategies, but it must also identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Are you also facing the challenge of quickly incorporating new requirements and guidelines into your processes?
- Do you need to be able to respond flexibly and dynamically to new situations?
- Would you like to unlock more potential while still playing it safe when making decisions?
- Do you want to adapt your dynamic processes more quickly and flexibly ?
- Is the customization of products and solutions important?
With the SCHUFA Decision Support System (DSS), we have the answer to all these questions.
Gathering Relevant Information
Linking, Aggregating, and Transforming Information
Making the Right Decision
To make sound decisions, you need the right information. In most cases, however, a single data source is not enough. Instead, information from various external data providers must be requested, integrated, and linked with internal data. The SCHUFA Decision Support System solves this challenge. The SCHUFA Decision Support System handles the integration of external and internal data sources. This allows all necessary data to be centrally acquired and made available to the entire organization.
In addition to the ability to retrieve data from external and internal data sources, our DSS offers a wide variety of components and functions for classifying data, calculating failure probabilities, and deriving secondary information. This ensures that the best information and comprehensive knowledge are always available to support decision-making.
Collecting and transforming data is only half the battle. To unlock more potential while still making sound decisions, it is necessary to be able to respond to specific characteristics of the data during the decision-making process. With our DSS, it is possible to map individual risk, workflow, and decision-making processes. The collected and calculated information can be accessed and analyzed at any point in the process.
By transforming data into meaningful information and key metrics, and by using these to develop case-specific action plans, you can implement automated decision-making processes in all phases of customer management.
In today’s fast-paced, digital world, manual processes are no longer sufficient. Instead, decisions must be automated. The SCHUFA Decision Support System is designed precisely for this purpose. With its scalable, high-performance, and highly available technology, you can make all your risk decisions automatically and in real time. Furthermore, our DSS is integrated into your IT landscape as a central service. This means that every business unit in your organization can benefit from the system.
This means you can
- Tap into customer potential,
- reach new target audiences,
- Minimize risks,
- define company-wide or business-unit-specific decision-making processes and
- adapt these processes more quickly and flexibly.

The SCHUFA Decision Support System consists of several components:
- the server on which the process control rules run automatically,
- the admin, through whom the server's current status can be checked and new process rules can be deployed,
- the editor used to create, customize, and test process control rules.
The goal of this separation is to enable the risk or business department to create process rules using the editor without requiring any IT resources. This means your IT department only needs to manage the server; there is no development effort required for the process rules within your IT department.
The graphical editor for the SCHUFA Decision Support System enables your business or risk department to map out your customized risk processes. Creating new sets of rules is a breeze. Using the simple drag-and-drop functionality, you can drag branch blocks, loops, assignment lists, and much more to the correct location, thereby building your custom process flow.
In addition, the editor offers a wide range of options for testing and analyzing the rule sets you’ve created. So don’t just rely on your gut feeling anymore—instead, use the processed runs and decisions to determine whether and how your rule set needs to be adjusted. With just a few clicks, the change is implemented and a new rule set is deployed. This allows you to react to market changes in no time.
