SSL certificate exchange: SCHUFA XML-Gateway2 (xml2-gateway-test.schufa.de / xml2-gateway.schufa.de)

On 22.12.2021 the SSL certificates for the HTTPS communication of the SCHUFA XML-Gateway2 - valid for one year - will expire. Please note that the personal signature certificates are not affected.

The SSL certificates are used by contractual partners to verify the correct establishment of the connection with the SCHUFA XML gateway2. It may therefore be necessary to exchange the certificates within your application; if a direct comparison is carried out, the exchange is essential.

If a direct comparison is carried out, replacement is essential.

Please use the certificate exchange of the test environment that takes place two weeks beforehand to ensure proper communication with the SCHUFA XML gateway2.

The exchange of certificates on the SCHUFA servers will take place on the following dates:

  • Test environment - xml2-gateway-test.schufa.de: 09.11.2021 (Tuesday) at 09:00 CET
  • Production environment - xml2-gateway.schufa.de: 23.11.2021 (Tuesday) at 09:00 CET

Both replacements will be carried out without downtime . No other impairments are to be expected.

Unfortunately, it is not technically possible to store or use more than one certificate at the same time on the SCHUFA server side. On the client side, you can also store the new certificates in your application before the exchange date.

Please note: Contractual partners who use the SCHUFA-CBI or SCHUFA-DSS tool do not have to make any changes!

Exchange of SSL certificates: SCHUFA XML-Gateway2 (xml-gateway-test.schufa.de / xml-gateway.schufa.de)

We would like to inform you, that the period of our SCHUFA XML-Gateway1 SSL certificates for HTTPS communication - valid for one year - will expire on Dec. 22, 2021. Please be aware that this change does NOT concern your personal signature certificates.

These certificates are used by XML contractual partners for the verification of a correct connection setup to the SCHUFA XML-Gateway2. Therefore, it might be necessary to exchange the certificates within your application.

If you use a direct verification of the certificate an exchange must be performed.

Please use the exchange of the certificate of test environment taking place two weeks prior to the exchange of production environment to ensure proper communication with SCHUFA XML-Gateway2.

The exchange of the certificates on the SCHUFA servers will be done on the following dates:

  • Test environment - xml2-gateway-test.schufa.de: Nov. 09, 2021 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m. CET
  • Production environment - xml2-gateway.schufa.de: Nov. 23, 2021 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m. CET

The exchanges will be done without any downtime; no further interference is to be expected.
