SCHUFA has developed a new score made up of twelve criteria. One of them is called the age of the current address. You can find out how this criterion will affect your creditworthiness in future here.

  • Subject of the criterion: Age of the current address
  • Points in the score: 0 to 94 points
  • Awarding the minimum number of points: Up to seven months
  • Maximum points awarded: 20 years and longer

The longer a person lives at the same address, the more positive the influence on the SCHUFA score. Because the statistics show: Anyone who has only lived at a residence for a short time has an increased risk of getting into payment difficulties. The positive influence on the SCHUFA score increases over time - the longer you live at the same address.

Age of the current address

For the criterion age of the current address, the scale ranges from 0 to 94 points. Zero points are awarded up to the seventh month. Six points are awarded from the seventh month onwards. In the following ten years, the score points are staggered in annual increments. They rise to 63 points in the tenth year at the same place of residence. You receive a further increase in points from the age of 15 (75 points) and from the age of 20 (94 points).

After one year has passed, 30 additional days are still counted towards the previous category. This means that anyone who has lived at their address for one year and 30 days, for example, still falls into the "7 months or more" category. Only after one year and 31 days do you switch to the "from one year" category.
