As a partner of Special Olympics Germany (SOD), SCHUFA has been committed to helping people with intellectual disabilities gain more recognition, self-confidence and participation in society since 2022.

One focus of the partnership is on the topic of "participation in economic life". SCHUFA makes its knowledge, network and experts available for financial education projects for people with disabilities and their families, as well as for associations and institutions, in order to promote inclusion.

"SCHUFA shares the vision of Special Olympics Germany: there can be an inclusive society, driven by the power of sport, in which people with intellectual disabilities have equal access to sport, education, culture and economic life," says Tanja Birkholz. "We are convinced that we can exchange valuable ideas with the Special Olympics family in order to achieve this goal," says Dr. Ole Schröder.

SCHUFA uses the Financial Inclusion Index to research the extent to which individual population groups are included or excluded from financial life and the reasons for this.

The Financial Inclusion Index (FIX), developed in 2023, makes the financial participation of different population groups measurable and is made up of the four dimensions of subjective user satisfaction, trust, financial literacy and accessibility. The video explains the significance of these dimensions and how they add up to the FIX.
